Ethan Hallberg is an Associate at NPX where he is primarily responsible for building NPX’s Donor Impact Fund portfolios.
Prior to NPX, Ethan worked at Cain Brothers, a boutique investment bank focused on the healthcare services industry. He was an Associate on the Health Systems team, where he executed mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory and financing transactions for a wide range of healthcare providers including 501(c)3 and for-profit hospital systems, physician services businesses, outpatient clinic operators, senior living companies and managed care organizations.
Before Cain Brothers, he was a Public Finance Analyst at Morgan Stanley, where he executed over $2 billion of tax-exempt and taxable municipal debt financings for some of the largest nonprofit hospital systems in the U.S. Ethan holds a MA in Finance and BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and is a MovingWorlds Institute Fellow. He was born and raised in Japan and is a dual national of the U.S. and Japan.
Outside of the office, Ethan enjoys traveling the world, cooking with his roommates at home in San Francisco, playing soccer and waking up early on weekends to support his favorite team, Liverpool.
